Peaceful Protest Don't Haul to build the ground zero mosque

As Americans and a united people we really need to stand behind our hard hat brothers and sisters in NYC and NOT haul anything associated with the mosque project.

It is not RIGHT that they want this trophy to Islam placed where so many died having kissed there loved ones good bye and having that last kiss become a forever.

I shed tears when I see the NYC skyline.
I grew up seeing this city, being its neighbor and loving the culture and people.

I ask you that read this to peacefully and respectfully protest the injustice to those lost.
I ask you to NOT let others defecate where we eat.

As Americans we may have a slight tendency to stick it to one another but we sure as hell won't let an outsider stick it to ANYONE in our American family.

It may be hard on your wallet. I'm positive they will pay TOP Dollar to have you haul it, whatever it is but REMEMBER. You will have to live with the potential that the money you get may be from someone that killed our Brothers and Sisters on 9/11.

Please, consider this and avoid all hauls to aid the mosque project.

May the road rise to meet you all and keep you safe from harm.

CSA 2010 Links and info

Well CSA2010 is here to stay.
In a recent meeting at my terminal we discussed how CSA2010 will basically work and how it effects the driver and the company.

The days of the outlaw trucker is now over but what does all this mean to you?
Nothing, that is if you have made an effort to be legal and compliant in your activities in the last THREE years.

Yes the last THREE YEARS.
What you do today will effect your tomorrow.
How you handle yourself, your equipment and your freight will be examined in the BASICs they are using to determine your level of professionalism.

Your documentation, (Logs and Paperwork)
Your level of compliance.
ALL OF IT, for 3 years will be reviewed.

The HIGHER your score due to violations the more likely you will undergo a review.
If you are an unsafe or as CSA calls it "UNFIT" you and your company may and can be SHUT DOWN.

Once you hit this threshold in the scoring system you are pretty much going to be done.

That Seatbelt ticket when you were speeding before NOW GETS a value.
That time you were pulled over for a light out NOW GETS SCORED.
Everything you do and how you DO IT, now gets scored.

If you do the RIGHT thing and go with the program, you will be fine.
If you are one for "THEM" that does what they want, your time in trucking is now limited.

REMEMBER, CSA2010 is not a bad thing or a punishment of those whom do their jobs properly and professionally every day.
But CSA2010 will be the end of bad companies and crappy operators in the long run.

If the bad apples are gone from the barrel those of you that share the road will have greater value in the trucking community.
In the long term that means more money and respect for what YOU DO RIGHT and a better example in and on the workplace we all share, the North American Highway system.

If you have questions about CSA2010 click the links below or consult your safety manager at your company.

CVSA 2010, Quit Your Bitchin' already!

CVSA 2010 is HERE people!

You know who are the ones that caused this debauchery so why complain cry and debate it.
The rules have been changed and now you complain?
Okay Here is how I see things.

MYTH 1: Now the Driver is Responsible..

GUESS WHAT, you ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, the company was eating the ticket and overall the rules have ALWAYS SAID you are the RESPONSIBLE PARTY PERIOD.

MYTH 2: If I have something break or go out while I am going down the road I get the ticket.

WELL DUH, You always DID get the ticket, Difference is, YOU NEED TO MAKE IT RIGHT ASAP.
So stop being LAZY you know whats wrong with your rig.

MYTH 3: Now I get assessed POINTS.

Okay this is TRUE but lets face it! The quicker the Idiots and Morons are OUT of trucking the smarter this business will get.
Fact is many trucking companies COUNT and RELY on stupid drivers and operators.
These people are the ones that get by on luck, cause accidents and CAN'T follow the rules.
The SOONER these bruised mutant apples get removed from the collective barrel that is transportation the SOONER we will make more MONEY and get better treatment in the workplace.

FACT: The good old days of hot books, broken equipment and poor working conditions are GONE. CVSA 2010 will eventually make the transportation industry a better smarter leaner place to be.

As with all things, the growing pains to get to that point will hurt a little.
Companies are going to SCRAMBLE to figure out how exactly they'll handle their inter office issues.

The days of Squeaking out a tight dispatch are DONE.
The days of Take it like that (When you know it's BROKEN) are done.

Now you all are going to get treated just like they say you are supposed to be.
You're the "Professional" and the ones that can't cut it are now OUT or will be.

Like always, Comments and curses are MOST welcomed.
